Barcelona City Council reaffirms its commitment to creativity and local talent at ISE
AI, cybersecurity, and the consolidation of drones as key players in the sector are among the trends that will be showcased at ISE 2025.

Barcelona City Council is reaffirming its support for the city’s audiovisual ecosystem and is participating in the new edition of Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), which will be held at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona, from 4 to 7 February. The City Council, in collaboration with the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, will have its own stand located in the Congress Square area.
Under the slogan “Barcelona, where creativity flourishes,” Barcelona City Council will focus on showcasing local creative and audiovisual talent in its space, which will act as a meeting point for the local and international ecosystem. The City Council will present a selection of companies from the sector through a tour of an experiential showroom. In collaboration with ICUB, Barcelona Activa, and the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, it will offer a comprehensive programme of roundtables and presentations on the latest industry trends, the most innovative proposals from the city’s companies, and the value of talent, what is a key sector for the city’s economy.
This year, visitors will also be able to interact with the stand through Beyond the Screen, an artistic installation created by Domestic Data Streamers that will display content generated in real time by visitors. The initiative consists of a series of digital installations that transcend the standard two-dimensional screen to create three-dimensional artistic works with which visitors can interact using AI. Different cameras will transform the installation into a series of altered mirrors, creating organic interactions within the flow of people in the space. This initiative highlights the city’s position as a global leader in advanced technologies and their influence on daily life, blending technology, creativity, and community engagement.
According to the study “The Audiovisual Sector in Catalonia”, recently presented by ACCIÓ and the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, 56.2% of the audiovisual companies in Catalonia are located in the city of Barcelona. This figure highlights the high level of creativity and entrepreneurship in the city and reaffirms Barcelona City Council’s commitment to promoting the audiovisual sector as a strategic industry capable of generating talent and quality employment, fostering a competitive entrepreneurial and business ecosystem, as well as attracting national and international investment.
Programme of activities with the local ecosystem
The Barcelona City Council stand at ISE will offer one-to-one advice on various municipal services and feature a central area for presentations and roundtable discussions on industry trends. The Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB), Barcelona Activa, and the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, which encompasses 185 of the main companies and institutions in the Catalan audiovisual industry, have all participated in designing the programme of activities. The programme includes a session titled “It’s all about drones,” during which Lang Iberia will explain the ISE Drone Arena programme, and companies such as Airmedia 360 and Folck Studio will present their latest innovations on the role of aerial technology in the audiovisual sector. Another highlight is the pitch organised by the School of Audiovisual Media on the video game sector, in which Ivan Agenio from Peekaboo Animation and Ferran Puntí from The Breach Studios, among others, will evaluate the proposals from young creators.
Barcelona City Council will also be present at the South Screen of the fair with an exclusive session of Alice Labourel’s videoperformance, a preview of the light installations that will be held in the Poblenou neighbourhood from 7to 9 February as part of Llum BCN. Labourel’s work is an animated journey through surreal landscapes inspired by nature. The promotional video for Llum BCN 25 will be displayed on the same screen.
