Barcelona is the setting for a unique experience to enjoy the 37th edition of the America's Cup
From 22 August to 22 October, Barcelona was the setting for a unique experience to enjoy the 37th edition of the America’s Cup.
The city created an exclusive space where business leaders could discuss and exchange experiences on the blue economy and nautical sports while enjoying the competition and the many activities that showcased Barcelona’s strengths in areas like innovation, economy, and culture.
Barcelona Hospitality welcomed over 4,000 visitors, hosting over 200 meetings and 125 sector-specific gatherings. In addition, 50 local organisations played an active part in the event, creating synergy between elite sports and the city’s economic and social sectors.
Therefore, Barcelona has not only been the competition’s host city but has also broadened the scope of the event, extending beyond the world of sports to incorporate local values and culture through parallel activities such as educational sessions and culinary and leisure events. This combination has offered visitors a truly immersive experience, blending the sea, technology and the art of sailing with the city’s vibrant spirit and innovative character.
