The facade of this Modernista building on C/ Sòcrates is marked by the casing of a shell fired by Brigadier Prim’s troops in 1843.

Cultural heritage

Founded in 1957, the Puig charcuterie has a bomb shell from 1843 lodged in its façade on Carrer Sòcrates. It was fired on by Brigadier Prim’s troops, who had been deployed to the old Cal Borni farmhouse to quell the progressive Jamància revolt, the first popular uprising against the liberal state and its centralising measures.
