Cultural heritage

This health centre is named after Eusebi Güell, Gaudí’s patron and an important textile industrialist. Following the model of the professional friendly societies, he created the Mutua Catalana in 1905. Later, it was divided into three friendly societies, one of which was the Montepío Textil de Enfermedades, which provided primary health and hospital care to the pensioners who had worked in the sector.
