A peaceful wood

The Jardins de Joan Brossa are an excellent example of reclaiming a green space that almost looks wild. After the old amusement park attractions were removed, enhancing the area’s original look, it was adapted for public use and turned into an accessible, peaceful slice of nature.

The gardens have children’s play areas as well as an area with zip lines and climbing games for young people. The vegetation is leafy and varied, with sunny and shady parts.

Homage to Catalan poets

Staying true to the idea of dedicating Montjuïc’s gardens to Catalan poets, these gardens are named after and pay homage to Joan Brossa, with a plaque at the entrance and a visual poem inside. Their location connects them with Montjuïc’s other gardens, such as the Jardins de Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer and the Jardí Botànic.
