Traditionally, Sant Gervasi has always been a well-to-do neighbourhood, with an above-average purchasing power for the city. Although this is a good thing for commerce, it also involves the challenge of satisfying the needs of a unique clientele: therefore, while Sant Gervasi’s retail establishments are not large or spectacular, they sell really high-quality products and provide their customers with unbeatable service.

Uniting the neighbourhood

Through the Barnavasi Traders Association, the Sant Gervasi Shopping Hub promotes revitalisation campaigns that benefit traders, local residents and visitors. Many of the promotional, charitable and cultural events take place in front of the iconic Sant Gervasi Market, which is a vital part of neighbourhood life. Others, like the annual street commerce festival, fill Carrer de Muntaner with a variety of colourful stalls.
